We are thrilled to start our suggestion list with a novel by Edwin A. Abbott, published in 1884. An animated film adaptation was also released in 2007.
Flatland. A Romance of Many Dimensions is a satirical novel in which the author uses a two-dimensional fictional world to comment on the hierarchy of Victorian culture. However, the novel’s most enduring contribution is its examination of dimensions. Relevant science communicators have described this book as a starting point to reflect on the universe or humankind. This work has many editions; however, we’ve chosen to display the 2012 Zones Sensibles’ book cover today. Enjoy it!
